Description
Every landscape painting ever painted inspired this work. I hope viewers will be slightly puzzled. I chose acrylic paint because it dries fast, lets me paint over any part of the painting at any time of the process and I can mix any colour I want allowing me greater control over colour, tone and shade. I chose this subject matter because it takes the idea of a landscape painting and alters it, it alludes to the fact that humans now have the ability to alter our own very natural world whether that be for the better, or worse. I chose to combine landscape painting and surrealism to change things up a bit. The reflection also mimics impressionism in that it shows the brushstrokes. I also thought it was funny to do a plain air painting indoors.
All paintings are one of a kind originals and come with a signed certificate of authenticity. Finished with painted edges, 1.5 inches deep, they do not require a frame and are ready for your enjoyment, complete with hangy wire. Commissions are welcome, get in touch at lisangart@hotmail.com.
