Also known as Mooncake Season at my house. Growing up I’m not sure we ever called it the Mid-Autumn Festival. I just knew when the moon is full, sometime in the Autumn, when the Mooncakes start appearing, I know it’s time for a gathering of family and friends, along with a telling of a tale as old as time: of how they once hid secret messages in mooncakes, to communicate with allies, to defeat the enemy, in the name of freedom. The story of the mooncake is a story of resiliency, as is the symbol, it is a time for gathering and celebration, because we can 🥮 #mooncakeseason #midautumnfestival
